The world is filled with textiles, as we can see all around us. Textile design is part of every business, from fashion to the automobile industry. However, if we look at how closely textile design relates to interior design, we can see that many items are produced using textile design. Interior design is a beautiful art that influences the real taste of design through textiles. Being a textile designer, I have worked on numerous textile projects that connect to furniture and other objects for interior design. You're probably wondering how it made possible to apply textile design principles to interior design. Is this feasible? You can accomplish this, I assure you.

Floor Lamp

I created a floor lamp using digital printing on fabric and wrapped it around four corners. I used an ocean theme design using Photoshop and got it printed by a digital printing company. I decided to get this printed on silk fabric because it is shiny, smooth, and emits dazzling light from lamps like no other fabric can do.

Wall Panel

Batik printing is a method I used to create wall panels. I used wax and Seta silk paints to create a design on a 12" X 16" frame. When the design was completed, I framed this silk cloth from the wall panel store. You can also design your wall panel using your imagination, and then get it framed by any wall panel and wall hanging store.

Upholstery items

All upholstery items are interior products, and they are all created by textile designers. These include ottomans, cushions, bed linens, curtains, table runners, and sofa throw covers. We design these using CAD, block printing, tie-dying, screen printing, batik printing, and various other methods.

Home Decor items

What do you think? Is textile design exclusively concerned with designing with fabric? No, threads, yarns, wool, and jute all are parts and parcels of textiles. Consequently, you can also use these textile goods for interior designs. I created decorative corner screens, rugs, planters, and hanging lamps by using wool and jute and applying weaving techniques to enhance the attractiveness of my creativity.

Textile design is also utilized in the creation of all decorative objects. You have a better understanding of how textile design is related to interior design.
